The KTRH Dream Home was a 5,272-square-foot home showcase home conceived and managed by David. Priced at $1.9 million the home was built by Black Diamond Builders in the Hunters Creek Village neighborhood of Houston. Fully furnished by a team of interior designers, the showcase home was an extension of the KTRH Home Improvement Hotline, hosted by David for 8 hours each weekend.
The goal was to showcase the energy-efficient designs and advanced technology of the home's sponsors. The home included such features as energy-efficient sprayed-in-foam insulation, a robotic lawn mower, a tankless water heater and a real-time electricity usage monitor.
All tour proceeds benefited the Arbor School, a Houston institution that offers educational intervention to children with developmental delays or handicaps.
