A Texas Christmas

A Texas Christmas: Christmas Memories as told to Katie & David Yates started as an idea on Thanksgiving morning in 2010. Katie and David elected to take DART, Dallas' mass transit system, downtown for the run. Being unfamiliar with the scheduling they left at 6:00 am and have more than a couple of hours to kill before the race started. Katie said that she would like to do a charity project together, and A Texas Christmas was born.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day the pair interviewed "interesting Texans" and shared their Christmas stories. The four hour show was compiled overnight on Christmas Eve and was broadcast Christmas morning from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on 570 KLIF in Dallas, as well as streaming worldwide.

The show continued for the next 8 years, heard on 570 KLIF or 820 WBAP. Below is the archive of the first broadcast.
